A recent study in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine suggests that the use of a Hypericum Perforatum ointment can have a beneficial effect on caesarean wound healing and hypertrophic scar, without any important side effects. This randomised double-blinded trial compared the results of the ointment over 16 days compared with a placebo application and a control group.
