The 5th CCTN conference, held at Birmingham Children’s Hospital – Saturday 7th May 2011, will highlight Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) reviewing medical as well as complementary therapy management. Furthermore, in response to a great number of requests, the conference will also provide a valuable opportunity for delegates to participate in interactive workshops on therapeutic techniques used in various complementary therapy disciplines.
The Children’s Complementary Therapy Network (CCTN) is a UK based national network (with over 350 members internationally). It is free join the CCTN. It provides a common platform for professionals (including complementary therapists, doctors, nurses, OTs, physiotherapists, teachers, service developers, researchers etc.) for the purposes of sharing training, education and clinical practice in the use of complementary therapies for children. This will be a great opportunity for you to showcase your work to a varied group of professionals.
Call for Abstracts (Deadline 30.09.10)
Abstracts are invited from:
- Individuals wishing to deliver a half hour presentation about complementary therapies and children (e.g. case study, research, safety considerations, etc). The presentation can be on any topic (i.e. not necessarily on ADHD).
- Individuals wishing to run a 1 hour workshop based on a specific complementary therapy. The workshops will need to include demonstrations and be interactive. If your abstract is successful, you will be given a 50% discount on the conference fee.
Call for Posters (Deadline 01.02.11)
There will be an opportunity for delegates to display poster presentations at the conference. The poster can be on any topic relevant to children and complementary therapies (i.e. not necessarily on ADHD).
