The reading room at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine
CAMLIS is open to the public. Anybody with an interest in CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) can use the reading room, with no formal registration or reader ticket required.
Computer terminals for access to our on-line resources, printing and photocopying facilities are available to users. Information professionals will assist readers with their enquiries and offer targeted information skills training sessions throughout the year.
The online portal at www.cam.nhs.uk
Our library catalogue is available to search online. It holds records of all print and online holdings in CAMLIS. Library users can check available materials prior to visiting the reading room. The federated search facility allows users to search external specialist libraries.
Registered members of CAMLIS stakeholder organisations can also use their membership card number and password to log on to online subscription resources from home. These include e-journals, e-books and databases. Members can reserve books and renew existing loans.
If you are not sure if you have membership through your professional body, please check our list of current member organisations or contact the library enquiry desk.
If you are a healthcare professional or student you might want to check with your professional association or school if they are in the process of joining CAMLIS for their members – many organisations currently are!
